The upper left section of the outer circle displays the Chinese characters "广西师范大学," inscribed by the renowned calligrapher and university professor Wu Chundao, while the upper right section bears the capitalized English text "GUANGXI NORMAL UNIVERSITY."

Named with the meaning of "Receiving the Mandate of Heaven," in the early years of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang enfeoffed his nephew Zhu Shouqian as the Prince of Jingjiang. A princely mansion was constructed in Guilin, which endured for 280 years, with the title being passed down through 14 individuals across 11 successive generations.

Du Xiu Feng (Solitary Beauty Peak) derived its name from the poetic line "None rivals the solitary beauty, towering majestically above the city" written by Yan Yanzhi, a renowned literatus of the Southern Dynasties. The peak stands at an elevation of 216 meters with a relative height of 66 meters, featuring 306 stone steps. On its cliff face are inscribed four large characters meaning "Purple Robe and Golden Belt," which is why it is also known as "Purple Gold Mountain." Additionally, it has been celebrated as the "Pillar of the Southern Sky."

In 2018, the Yanshan Campus Library was officially put into operation, with a total floor area of 55,000 square meters. It is currently the largest single-building library in Southwest and South China.

The library houses a collection of over 3.65 million printed books and 2.8 million e-books, and has been designated as a National Key Ancient Books Protection Unit. Guided by the concept of building a "University Humanities Laboratory," the Yanshan Campus Library also includes an archives, a special collection hall for ancient books, a university history museum, a Guangxi Studies Museum, and a donated cultural relics exhibition hall.

Yanqi Lake is situated along the central axis of the Yanshan Campus. As a scenic campus lake composed of the East Lake and the West Lake, it is named for the flocks of wild geese and egrets that inhabit the lake each spring and autumn.

Yan Shilin (Rock Garden) is composed of the Pine Garden, Bamboo Garden, Plum Garden, and a rock forest, collectively known as the "Garden of the Three Friends of Winter." Pine, bamboo, and plum, which maintain their resilient vitality during the harsh cold season, symbolize noble character in traditional Chinese culture.
